No it's not true. Just got 13 months on my son's car a week ago. The new MOT also gives the earliest date for the next MOT (a month before this one expires.)

 

I tend to do this but do you actually get an extra month the fact is no as the month that you get is one of last years the car is in fact got two MOTs for one month if that makes any sense its all an illusion. :sad1: :sad1: :whistling:

The expiry date is exactly the same as if I'd taken it in on the date the previous one expired. I got it MOT'd In July this year and the expiry is August 2018.

 

I see what you're saying, but it's still MOT'd for the next 13 months.
