hambone
Not wanting to derail a current thread about communication devises i thought I'd start annother. How do you deal with or stop the arguing and squabbling that go hand in hand with a road trip with wife and kids. Reason I ask is that I find this more of a drain on my road awareness than mobile phones etc.

Walker570
Have an old Defender, then you can't hear them. Fit an LT 85 gearbox and remove carpets, two Cherrybombs in the exhaust and nice knobbly tyres which talk to you and they will not want to travel with you anyway
Lord Geordie
Find a common interest and chat about it, chat about where your heading, make plans of what you will do once there, what they fancy for dinner when they arrive? I never had any arguing in the car! Even when driving 300 miles + with the GF and her son and my son we never had anything to contend with. No technology other than the radio adding background noise. As kids we played the like of beetle! Or the coloured car, I spy, we entertained ourselves ok. Mum would mention things about where we were going, we made regular stops for toilets etc, "and to let the car rest"
Benthejockey
Regular and painful beatings. Or a sound proof window between the front and back. Duct tape. Buy a trailer. Buy a motorbike. More duct tape. 😂
BaconBoy
Meet them at the destination or put the kids up for adoption
loriusgarrulus
Seriously we used to look for interesting registrations. Nowadays you can look for personal regs. Get the kids to choose a car colour each and count how many they see in that colour. To make it harder disallow grey and silver. How old are the children as it makes a difference what will occupy them.
AVB
Plying a game of any kind is a recipe for disaster. Two competitive children means an inevitable argument.
Scully
I can't recall my kids ever being a problem; but we would play I-spy and all manner of things on long trips in the old Disco'. Great days. 👍
