Larsen trap - when to set

Recommended Posts

I set a Larsen trap on top of the dogs kennels on my friends farm as they were eating the dogs food, and also were damaging the soft pads on the calf's feet as they were being born. Sneaky or what ?

Home made, single cage baited, caught 3 in a week right away then nothing so it is put away.

Farm next door complaining of magpies in their open top chicken run causing a nusiance. Is it worth giving the trap a go at this time of year, or will they just ignore it. Like I said, it is a single cage baited, no call bird.

Will it work all year round ?
