Hi everybody just aquired a browning twelvette and was wondering if anyone has the adapter to enable it to fire shorter cartridges either for sale or perhaps to take some photos of so I can have one made. While I am on the subject has anyone got a copy of the manual showing the friction brake and spring assembly.

Welcome to the Double auto club ! My `66 ally receiver Twelvette came with a white adhesive spacer pad stuck to the back ( pusher) face of the shell lifter, to fill the gap, place the shell slightly farther forward as I load it..mod by previous owner seems to work fine using 65/67 and 70 mm ammo with no problem !

The gun is a joy to use, 25 inch barrel with choke extension included, get it set up and leave alone ! As the user manual ( easy download on line from several forums ) says..don`t over lube !!! There is a trick to remove the barrel for cleaning, just rest muzzle on carpet , apply gentle pressure, and feel the double click as you press the release. Just watch out for cracks in forend or stock..need prompt attention as replacements from U.S. are not easy to get without a friend over there ! I use 28 grm for clays, and most game, 32 grm for duck etc. out of respect for it`s age. The slight `shuffle` as it cycles is part of the fun..Val Browning did a great job, producing a usable and affordable classic ...
