Lord Geordie
Any of you guys know roughly how much it would be to replace the brake pipes on a laguna please? Just had it in for a timing belt a month ago, just got it back today after needing both front wishbones, track rod ends, rack ends, and gaiters doing, now the brake pipes need renewed for the MOT and I am already £600 lighter😩
db135
A roll brake pipe is only around a tenner two rolls will be more than enough the cost would be mostly in the labour to replace them ad say a independent garage would be around 150/200 qwid

Still a pain in the backside, but the days of me getting under a car are fading. Having to get under for 15 mins nipping up a few bolts last night, my hips and lower back are giving my jip this morning. Will have to ring around and see what I can sort then. Thanks. four-wheel-drive
This is a sore point with me who came up with the idea of making brake pipes out of steel makes no sense to me at one time they was always made of copper that would last for ever then just to save a few pennies they changed over putting peoples life in danger rant over. See if you can get someone to make and fit some nice copper ones last for ever then and should not cost that much.

sishyplops
My local garage did my discovery td5, replaced all pipes, fittings etc was under £300, the pipes on the itemised bill were under £15 !!, a lot of labour went into it as the old steel pipes were right manly to get off, dread to think of the cost if they had used genuine parts
Hendrix's rifle
Depends if the tank needs to come out. The early focus and fiestas don't usually have to so we charge around 150 all In from memory. 30 quid parts (Pipe, brake fluid and what not) and a couple of hours labour. Hope that helps you
gustaff
the renault rear trailing arm brake pipes are a rigid come flexi hose assembly only renault and not after market and are ridiculously priced and very difficult to replicate
