Well, what a day, long but great fun. We started at 9am with bacon butties, and then onto clays by 9:30. Got all the youngsters hitting the driven and crossing clays, then at 11 we took them down to shoot the 4 pheasant drives. They ended up with 14 in the bag. Back for lunch and to talk about the behind the scenes work that goes into things, and then down to the ponds to feed. And check some of the pheasant feeders. At 15:30 we then lined out around a few flight ponds to settle in for an evening duck flight. Not knowing what may come in. At around 5pm the duck started there decents. Quite a few groups of mallard, one group of teal and for the first time ive seen two groups of widgen came in. 6 mallard and two widgen in the bag by 17:30 we called time and made our way back to the buildings and time to get the photos in and for the youngsters to tell the parents all about their day.

A great day was had by all and will be hoping to put the day on  again next season.
