four bore
HI SHAKIN I TRIED IT IN A LONG BARRELLED 8 BORE MUZZLE LOADER IT WAS OK, IDEAL OVER A FLIGHT POND 20 - 25 YARDS. I AM SURE IF YOU WRAPPED IT OR A CARD WAD CUP YOU MIGHT GET A BIT MORE. FOURBORE.
Guest cookoff013
I may be remembering wrong, wasn't tin removed from the list of approved nontoxic shot?
shakin stevens
Not sure about that , must have been 8 years ago when I tried it in a 11 bore breach loader double wildfowling gun.only place that sold tin , was clay and game as mentioned by Mr fourbore, never seen it since after clay and game stopped selling it . wymberley
Back along I was asked to test some zinc loads before they bit the dust. These were marginally lighter than tin but did work as expected - somewhat inferior to soft iron. If it's any help zinc shot was included in BRL report to Defra of which I was sent a copy. As the performance between this and tin will be very similar, if you need any info' which I may just have, sing out.
four bore
THE BIT OF TIN I HAD WAS FROM CLAY & GAME A FEW YEARS AGO, PRETTY MUCH GONE NOW. I WILL GET IN TOUCH WITH BASC TO FIND OUT IF ITS STILL CLASSED AS NON TOXIC. FOURBORE.

greenergp
It might be worth your while casting your own bismuth shot in 4mm, i bought some bismuth off amazon and alloyed it with non lead (tin) solder and cast bismuth shot in BBB and size 1. Is quite easy to do and cos its non toxic you can melt and cast it in the kitchen when the wife is out Edited September 30, 2017 by greenergp
