The half choke is only for 4.1mm (BB) in HP steel.

Standard proof guns is max 4 english (whatever that is in mm ?)

Traders say 1/2 choke to cover any eventuality.

Follow the instructions as written on the box of carts and you won't gp wrong.

As for multichoking. IMO. In the past teague prices were at a level that it was a viable alternative to just trading in for a multi.

Since they were bought out prices look to have escalated and the best option seems to be just to trade in.

Unless the gun is a keeper and you wsnt to shoot large steel shot sizes through it or an expensive gun it's prob mot worth the bother.

Cheers!

If you really want to waste money on having it multi choked, then its up to you. It will handle steel so long as its not falling to bits. Your call.

Last season I bought the Kestrel S/S. I put 1 3/4 oz BB through it straight away.

Theyre all a waste of money but thats no fun!

Local smith charges 20 per barrel to open up.

Thats cheap!

Another option would be to buy something like a Zabala SxS with multi chokes as standard plus it would be steel proof. I have a Zabala and its a good gun for not a lot of money.

Didnt realise they did that as standard, thanks
