Hi,

Could you please give me advice as to what are the best maps to use to view farm land/boundarys?

Or what method do you use to help keep a record of what land you have the right to work?

Im about to start the hunt for some land and want to keep a record as in the picture provided.

Sorry about how crude the picture is!

Thanks.

Google maps to keep in the shooting bus.Plus BASC greenshoots, where you can map your boundaries and also help with conservation by recoding wildlife along with plants. The main reason is it help BASC justify that it's members don't JUST shoot. It shows we care about conservation and are going our bit.

Just take an OS Landranger map and a highlighter pen with you when you visit the farm. If you get the OK then go through the boundaries with him and mark them up on the spot. Its a chance for a bit of a chat after getting permission, all of which counts towards getting to know a little more about you and increases the chances in future of extending permissions nearby. They all know each other you know and now one of them knows you. Its all about relationships !
