If you look on the website it is a story about a Facebook group, Si Pittaway is on a least one of the pictures. It's the usual one sided , no evidence drivel, demonising pest control (grey squirrels) Shame really as we've seen a positive slant on this in the press recently.

In Scotland it just cost an extra 5 quid on top of ur co terminus renewal. So 70 quid, but I thin it is 50 for it alone and most of the paperwork is the same, in fact airgun form was far longer than the sgc/fac

Quite often Scotland starts some of these stupid anti rural laws but quite often the rest of UK follows suit later on (hunting, lead shot, tail docking all started up north)

1 of the biggest problems in Scotland is the red squirrels, it makes it very hard for normal folk to trap Grey's and humanely destroy them. It could be the thing that seals the fate of red squirrels in Scotland if the squirrel pox virus spreads north into the central belt greys it will spread north and west rapidly wiping out many.

While plinking in garden is not a good enough reason shooting an animal in a trap is (or at least I was told it was) so that may be a good reason ut hopefully it never gets that far for u.

I wouldn't be too hopeful that any logistical nightmare or short staffing isues of the polis will be the last thing on their mind, if politicains need a easy PR win they often would be very happy to throw shooters/airgunners under the bus for political gain

Short staffing etc just makes it more hassle for you and so eventually you end up not bothering.

That is their point !!

They are more happy if the system is unworkable.

Dog licence got binned because it was too expensive to run this won't happen with gun licencing.
