Just had my variation come back slightly confused me

It now says the firearms shall be used for shooting any other lawful quarry and for zeroing practice on land deemed suitable etc over which the holder has lawful authority

Does this mean I can shoot deer with my 308 on my land

Thanks in advance

Just ring the department that issued

That’s a closed ticked then, so you can only use calibres cleared for use on whatever land you’ve got permission to shoot on. If the land is passed for up to .243 for example, you can’t use you’re .308 on that piece of land, regardless if you’ve got permission to shoot there. If you had an open ticket you’d be ok though.

Thought you preferred lamb. Did a venison curry in work yesterday, alot of happy co workers at lunch time.

Dont you start on with you sheep related comments.......:lol::lol:

Venison is somewhat of a treat for me as I sometimes get to keep one of the sika yearlings I shoot if my mate is feeling kind and we have 4 or 5 on the deck. Venison steak is coming out of the freezer for the weekend after this conversation.
