Scottish foreshore - quick vid

Some footage of my recent trip to Scotland. Weather started off stormy but fizzled out to no wind at all at end of week. The numbers of birds were definitely building as the week went on.

I did have a permit for Montrose but after a group of guns walked right through the roosting birds before first light on day 1, I decided I wasn't going to waste a week and headed out to the estuary.

hello, a good watch and also to see your lovely helper pick up, :good: oh how do you get on with your AYA and steel shot, ?

to be fair, I haven't used it lots. I have no issue with steel shot. Its effective and I don't put loads of shells through the gun every year, so happy to use it in an older gun.

Hi I love shooting the Basin but hate the time restrictions also dont like the stupid non Fowler's who walk out in morn right through the roosting geese pushing them way back and unsettling the rest ..Cant they just take time and walk round like i do ! ??? In fact on a windy morn dont even have to walk out just use small old wall as cover plenty of flotsam and jetsam to make a hide !!! a year or two back now on a Sat morning as could not flight the basin on a weekend as I be a outsider !!! I went down to the coast along old Montrose towards the North Esk reserve had a pink and saw lots of duck ,as well as the sun rise out of the North Sea !!!!
