rust while out on marsh

White spray grease from Halfords. I spray the barrels and action and then wipe off to leave a thin coat. Don't do it if you're in a sandy area or the sand will stick and turn it into grinding paste.

Spray and wipe off with WD40 back at the car then proper clean at home.

This is what i do, i don’t like WD40 as lube or penetrative, but as a rust preventer inhibitor its not bad, some evidence its bad for blacking i hear but i use an oily rag with Automatic transmission fluid on it and it is usually oily enough to prevent rusting in use, even in a downpour you can smudge the atf around on the metal work a little and the WD40 at the car after a quick dry is all it needs.

Mark at High calibre coatings used to work for Riflecraft a few years ago & I couldn't get an answer from Jager

For £130 your not going to save much money as the paint isn't cheap, give it to someone who knows what their doing.......it's up to you
