By posting in this forum you agree to the following terms and conditions.

The Buy, Sell & Swap section is here for the benefit of Pigeon Watch members.
These terms and conditions are imposed to help protect members interests.
Members are solely responsible for their transactions.
Pigeon Watch is not liable for any loss including but not limited to theft, loss, breakages, and fraud.

No commercial sales may be posted without prior permission of Pigeon Watch Administration.

It is not permitted to simultaneously advertise items on PW and Ebay, post links to Ebay sales, Ebay listing numbers or steer members toward Ebay listings for the purposes of promoting a sale.

IT IS A MEMBER'S CHOICE IF THEY WISH TO POST THEIR TELEPHONE CONTACT NUMBERS WITHIN THE ADVERTISEMENT.

All sales items must be accompanied with a suggested price of sale, unless the vendor wishes to arrange a swap ONLY (ie rules out a cash sale), in which case there is no requirement to state a cash price. Should the vendor wish subsequently to offer the item for cash sale, a price must then be stated. Where an advertisement is posted without a sale price, the poster will be given 24 hours notice by a moderator to amend the thread. If the thread is not amended within 24 hours of the reminder to include a sale price the thread will be removed.

Please choose an appropriate topic title identifying the item or items offered.  Threads titled "for sale" or similar are unhelpful and confusing and will be removed.

Sellers should not ask for payment to be made by Paypal as a "gift", this removes all Buyer protection and Ads with this condition will be edited, or removed and the Seller will be suspended from the Trading Post.

It is not permitted for members to post links to their sales items offered on alternative sites.

The sale and/or exchange of any item that contravenes Copyright Law, is strictly forbidden - when CD's or DVD's are offered for sale, the Seller must state that they are not copies.

Only FAC (on licence) moderators can be advertised for sale in this section. The advertisement must clearly state "FAC holders only" and all transactions must be face to face, or via RFD.  Adverts for non-FAC moderators including airgun mods will be removed.

It is not permitted for cigarettes, cigars or tobacco containing products to be listed on the forum.

It is not permitted for vapes, items containing vapes, or accessories to be listed on the forum.

Counterfeit branded goods may not he advertised.

The resale of tickets to football matches involving British teams is illegal under section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 and is not permitted to be listed on the forum..

It is not permitted for any item containing alcohol to be listed on the forum.

Resubmission of an item for sale, swap, or wanted, will be permitted after 21 days from the first time of posting. Items resubmitted within 21 days of the original listing will be deleted.

GENERAL ADVICE:

Use extra caution when entering into a deal with a member that has;

. no post count

. no established reputation here

. never bought or sold to anyone in our Forum before

. recently registered on the Forum

It is the responsibility of both the buyer and seller to ensure that their transaction complies with all applicable laws.

Currently, UK Law prohibits the sale of air weapons, parts thereof, ammunition of and knives to persons under the age of 18.

It is illegal to offer for sale, except through an "authorised Dealer", replica or imitation firearms. As what constitutes a "replica/imitation firearm" is open to a wide interpretation, it has been decided that blank firing or airsoft weapons are not permitted for sale on this forum.

*** Items should be despatched within 2 days of payment being cleared and the buyer notified of the despatch date and method.***

Repeated infraction of any or all of the above may result in temporary or permanent denial of access to the Trading Post.

Kind regards,

Pigeon Watch Administration

Whilst it's always nice to receive praise for the goods you sell and receive notice that they have arrived, more and more posts are popping up in Off Topic to this effect.

Can we please keep thanks and notices of arrival to the actual advert in sales to which they relate.

We will be moving said topics as and when they pop up to the appropriate adverts in case people wonder where they have gone.

Cheers

What is PayPal’s policy on transactions that involve firearms?

We don’t allow PayPal members to buy or sell any kind of firearm, whether it’s in working order or not. The same goes for certain firearm parts and ammunition.

For example, using PayPal, you can’t buy or sell:

Any firearm, including rifles, shotguns, and handguns, whether they’re for sport and recreation, collectibles, or curio or relic firearms.
Firearm parts, including but not limited to receivers and frames, silencers, and kits designed to modify guns so that they fire automatically. High capacity magazines, multi-burst trigger activators, and camouflaging firearm containers are other items in this category.
Ammunition, including propellants like gunpowder or blank ammunition; ammunition or cartridge cases; and primers, bullets, or propellant powder designed for any firearm.

Stun gun sales are allowed for U.S. residents, but only if the transaction is permitted by law in both the buyer's and seller's jurisdictions. (PayPal account holders outside the U.S. can’t buy or sell stun guns.) Before they complete a sale, U.S. sellers must make sure that the transaction is legal in both locations.

Related items that you can buy and sell using PayPal include paintball guns, blank guns, and air-soft guns, as long as such transactions are legal in the applicable jurisdiction. All of these items must display the markings required by law, must not be convertible to shoot a lethal projectile, and can’t include blank ammunition.

-----

This is the 2015 PayPal policy statement, but the contents do not change the restrictions on the use of Paypal to buy, " ammunition, firearms, or certain firearm parts or accessories, or (k) certain weapons or knives regulated under applicable law."
