My daughter has been hinting for a while to get a tank set up, it's almost 20 years since I kept tropical fish and things have moved on a great deal.  I've looked at some of the "ready to go" tanks and wonder if they are worth it, my old set up had the exterior pump and that's the way I'd prefer to go, can anyone point me in the right direction please.

Go on Gumtree or freeadds ,my 100 litre tank cost 30 quid .Pump was 20 from evilbay and the filters in the pump from the Range .The Range actually have a good selection of pumps tanks/feed far cheaper than most "aquatic specialists" imho.Even had the stand from gumtree ,there,s always some one getting out of fish due to downsize ,moving etc and as nice as new is 2nd hand is far cheaper .Atb

I was talking to a girl I know this afternoon and she has just bought a new 1500x600x400mm tank and has given me her old one, she's going to strip it down, take out what she's going to need and then I'm laughing. Depending on what she keeps, will obviously have to be bought, but, there's plenty of options out there.  Thanks all.
