JohnfromUK
There are legions of Churchill ones, mostly good, some I believe even true ....... Two others I like comes from Lew Grade (impresario, boss of ATV, film financier and something of a 'character'). When being evasive about financial numbers in an interview, the interviewer asked sarcastically "Mr Grade, what is 2 + 2?" Grade answered "depends on whether you are buying or selling" Grade financed the film, "Raise the Titanic", which was (unusually for Grade) a box office failure. Grade himself observed that "It would have been cheaper to lower the Atlantic". The film was panned by critics and, after costing $36 million, returned only $8 million income.
