Lewi76
I'm new to reloading and I've got a couple of hundred eley hulls . I've heard that the primers are a pain for these , has anyone had this problem and what primers have you used to overcome this happening ? Sorry if it's a daft question ? pinfireman
As soon as you have used them up, don,t bother getting any more, they are pretty poor hulls....virtually all other European hulls are happy with Cheddite primers... pinfireman
Whilst I have little info on Eley paper cases having the same problem, I would sus pect that is the case, as they appear to have the same metal base..... I gave away 1,000 brand new (from the 1970,s !!!!) Eley paper cases last year, I never used any of them, too much off a hassle to re-jig my progressive machines....I believe I still have a box of 100 in the shed, free to anyone collecting them.... Eley lived on their reputation for 40 years, with little or no innovation. Up to the late 70,s, they dominated the UK market, and failed miserably to compete with foreign competition....now they are just playing catch up.....with little sign of progress....Just my opinion....
