Pigeon / crow

Recommended Posts

Put them in the middle of the pattern to start with and then anything from 19grms of #7s out of a 410 up to the heaviest load you can buy .....

repeat ...put them in the pattern to start with .....

I shoot a lot of pigeons and crows, partridge and pheasants with 18.5 grms of 7s very successfully.  I also occasionally pick up a high brass, super doper cannon shells 12 gauge on my shoot and amazingly the pheasants/partridge they shoot fall out of the sky in the same way.

If your shooting a 12 gauge then Ultrastu is spot on, a quality 32grm load will do the job adequately if you do.

on edit...just picked up the reference to rabbits and enjoy a day or two ferreting and bolting rabbits using the Mossy 410 and #7 Fiocchi seem to do the job.
