sandsie1
I always have on me a skywolfeye e523, powered by a 10500 (AAA) 3.7v battery. Its a couple of quid from that auction site - item no. 282699041905 - it is about the size of half a pencil. Its nothing fancy but must be fairly impressive going by how many I've given away to admirers of its performance.
kennett
I just use a £10 special from our local ag merchant, I think it's a lighthouse or something, beam focuses from flood to spot and it packs a fair punch into something into something the size of a couple of film cases Edited December 10, 2017 by kennett

Gordon R
The Pound shop sell some pretty decent torches - obviously for £1. I keep one in both our cars.

I will let you know in 6 months if it’s worth £1.98 ?.

Muddy Funker
Have a look on the bay, led lenser 7.2 from maplin outlet. Half price at £25, doubt you can get better for that price.
