Not driven the new one but the old ones are a bouncy for my liking. The ssangyong rexton fuel pumps can be a bit iffy. they can over heat and break up when run at low fuel levels screwing the whole fuel system and parts can be a pain to get, once waited over 2 months for a door mirror for one. I have had both, just bought my 3rd Dmax, reasonable ride, reasonable space in the back. The new 1.9 has a six speed auto box, which is better. The manuals get 40 plus mpg.
