Two part liquid metal

You may be better off using a two part epoxy resin as it is easier to work and finish off, or get someone to put some weld in there and get it machined afterwards.

I've used Devcon  metal resin on crank cases that were holed and it was still perfectly oil tight two years later, but it is expensive stuff for a small repair.

All these liquid metal products are just metal powder in an epoxy resin.

They  all work very well.

We use plastic padding "chemical metal" at work, never had a failure yet. Just make sure the area is degreased and keyed.

I used it for a temporary repair to the fuel tank on my Land Rover, ten years later it's still there.
