Before I start this has all been reported to the police already.

Just had a phone call to my mobile from a withheld number that went like this. London/Cockney accent.

“Do you do call outs?”

“what do you mean?”

“I’ve got a pest.”

”oh okay what sort of pest?”

”what guns have you got?”

“Well it depends on the pest.”

”Can you come now?”

”Erh, no. I’d need to know what pest first.”

”Well my missus is having a bit of bother”

I let out a bit of a Nervous chuckle and said

“I don’t do that sort of thing mate, rabbits  rats things like that”

”oh so you don’t do humans”

”no mate”

Guy hangs up.

any advice? Luckily the operators husband is an FAC holder so she understood what I was talking about.

The only thing I can think of is I’ve dropped four shooting cards in to places for the first time in years. Perhaps someone has taken offence?

One place was a small office/control room for a radio tower that sits on a bit of land that has cows on it and is always crawling with rabbits.

Two were landowners with horses.

Another was a landowner with a big grass field overgrown, perhaps for hay, no sign of livestock but saw lots of rabbits and a Fox.

Someone trying to be funny, but really needs to put in allot more research effort.

And i would have pursued the question as to what pests you were expected to control rather than get onto the topic of "Guns" Not all pests need a "gun" to control them.

Me, i would not have diverted the topic off guns completely. Maybe mentioned traps or deterrents.
