I'm looking specifically for a good all round treatment flea/wormer that includes lungworm. Advocate looks like a good one to go for - any other alternatives you would recommend? CharlieT Posted January 29, 2018 Report Share Posted January 29, 2018 Advocate is a Prescription Only Medicine (POM) and therefore can only be bought with a prescription. Anyone selling it without requiring a prescription would be breaking the law and therefore would be classed as unreliable and dodgy. To the best of my knowledge, there are only two licensed products for lungworm, Advocate (spot on ) and Mibemax (tablet). Both are POM.
