Reliable scales

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Apologies if this has been asked before.

I'm looking for a reliable scale for pistol load measuring but don't want to spend a fortune ideally under £100, it's just to check the powder load every 10 or so loads.

Sorry should have said electronic

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks in advance Newbie

I have both and find the electronic slower than the balance using a trickler. I have both because I check one against the other. Once I have a load that works, then conformity is the main criterior. Trick with a balance if you don't already know it, is to add extra right at the top of the swing, this will stop the bar swinging back and forth.

All of the available electronics are much the same. Mine is a Lab commercial model not made by reloading firms.

balance beam scales would be my choice before electronics

Now i use electronic ballance every day at work, i have the skills to use a beam aswell, and without doubt electronic is better.

the issue i think you might be touching on is there are alot of bad electronic scales for stoners to weigh there stash. but the opposite is true too. there are bad beam scales.
