walshie
I dug this up earlier. It was about 2 feet down in solid clay. It's in perfect condition, complete with the its rubber bung that has dropped inside. It has UK Reg Design No. 846799 on it but no other writing. I've googled it and found it was from the early 1950s, but could anyone tell me what it used to contain? I reckon beer or milk but stand to be educated. Wymondley
It'll be a fizzy drink, could be Tizer. I've a few old bottles I've found in hedgerows and dug out of bunny burrows in field corners. I find them quite interesting.
Scully
It reminds me of the old Tizer bottles too, but I’m only guessing. I don’t know if they had rubber stops. If you take it back to your local shop you should get tuppence for it though! ?
walshie
It didn't taste like Tizer.
