Shooting in fog

Morning All.

I recce'd a field of rape yesterday and all the signs look good. So I spent last night preparing all the gear to get here before first light with the hope that I would prevent the incoming birds from flocking. **** law something had to go wrong and despite being clear at 6am this morning the fog has now come in. Weather report makes no mention of this so it might clear but the fog has certqinly got thicker in the last 30mins. Question is will pigeons decoy in the fog and what's their general behaviour in these conditions?

   And?

Well the fog didn't last long and cleared. Set up and after an hour decided to move on as the pigeons preferred another part of the field. All the signs looked good for a good days shoot but the birds left never to return ? we had a few birds come in that literally dive bombed the magnet and tried to land on it! I've never seen that before.
