Hi guys.

Im purchasing a tikka T3X at some point in the next few weeks.

Just been in my local gun shop and they’re recommending an A-tec modular moderator, I think it might have been a CMM4.

I already have an Atec aluminium moderator on my .17HMR however I am noticing erosion of the first two baffles. It is cleaned regularly too.

Does anyone have any other recommendations?

The hausken ones look good but again aluminium baffles.

Wildcat p8 seems a popular moderator and I have not heard any that have gone wrong etc.

all depends on what you are looking for ie light weight, modular, size etc.

i went for a wildcat p12 as noise moderation was most important as I use it near horses and it’s quieter than my hmr.

If you want quiet, than Stalon are about the best.

If you want light wight yet really well made with stainless internals and one mod to use across a range of cals (replaceable threaded front end for each rifle) then the Aimsport Aimzonic Triton Predator.  Warranted for a full 5 years/unlimited rounds too.  I use an ASE SL5 on my 223 but they are a little on the heavy side.  The Aimsport is half the weight with similar performance.
