Have fancied getting the 3 species for a while as not access to them up here obviously so had a jaunt down to Suffolk to try for them with the old fella.Hes shot a lot in his 73 years but never had a gig at these.

Very lucky to get the 3 on the first day including a nice gold CWD for the old fella and i managed a silver on the 2nd.Outstanding couple of days with great lads and the trip was an education on the three species.

Planning on going down next year too and cant wait.

Well done, well worth the trip down.  I would hope you took some home with you because muntie in particular is in my view the best eating. Perfect weather for hanging for a few days as well this week.  Chinese is also good eating, I find hanging it 10 days improves the flavour no end.

Well worth it and getting to pull the trigger was a bonus.

Came home with 2 munties,2 CWD and the fallow.Only had a bit of either Muntjac or CWD and its the best venison ive ever tasted.

Well done both of you.

Are CWD teeth called teeth or tusks or what? That gold certainly had a pair.

Cheers JD.

No expert but tusks they are.

Not the hardest deer to stalk but an education to see their habits and habitats.

Sounds like a trip of a lifetime that, out shooting with your old fella, actually getting what you went for is obviously a massive bonus.

great pictures as well, the tusks look like they could be make believe almost.

sounds as though you have found a good guide? That's for sure.

What an outcome, all power too yerself for gaining the three species, what a wonderful education to see them ist hand, there habitat and how they go about their general business. As you say the lad has put his work in to get you on them. Good eating there as other have noted.

Apologies for the late replies.

Very happy to get the 3 and as you say it is an educational to watch 2 of them which ive never even lay eyes on before.

Guide was a top lad and couldnt fault and didnt take much coin at all.

Being with the old fella made it very special for sure. The lad said we should get all 3 but i would have been happy with whatever came our way so it was a bonus.

The tusks are something prehistoric right enough and so alien to our antlers up here.

Guide was outstanding and knew his stuff.
