Yorkshire Steam Railway

I took my family there for a day out last year.  We got there and the train had literally broken down 20 minutes before we arrived.  My 2 year old was very disappointed.

The man in charge gave us a free family pass as compensation, without being asked for anything at all.  I thought that was lovely of him.

The settle Carlisle line currently has some pretty big drifts on it so they've had to close the line, it's been pretty wild up there so I can understand why.  You can always tell when the tornado runs along the line as there are streams of cars parked in really inappropriate places and the roads are thronged with people swathed in cameras carrying step ladders.?
