I just use a standard Food Saver. Works well for me. I’ve got two. One at home and one in Wales.

I had one of these, cost me about 30quid. Lasted probably 3 or 4 years of pretty heavy usage.

It drew a good vacuum and produced a good seal.

I upgraded when it finally died to a Lava machine that cost £200 ish. Great machine, double sealing strip instead of one, draws a better vacuum faster but if I am honest the food saver was all I needed. The Lava is more of a pro job.

I have one that I don't really use.

It's a Seal a Meal VS230-I and is still in its original box, complete with the accessory hose.

Has a small amount of bags and roll with it.

I may sell it, if you are interested?

If so, I can send you some photo's .

PM me if interested.

I have one cost me £35 umpteen years ago and still going strong.  I buy my bagging from Lakeland, more expensive than elsewhere but far better quality.  Anything needing to go in the freezer gets vaccuumed, brilliant bit of kit.  There's a whole range available, choose one to fit your pocket.
