Ouch doesn't cover it.  Even after my thumb incident that tops it.  Hope no nerves have been severed or tendons. I was lucky but the nerve ending s on my thumb still talk to me occasionally.

No words to express is there?  Hope it gets sorted tidy as possible.

You know where I am if you need a driver any time or whatever.

Have you sent the picture to ditchman ?

One slip and you've had it with these tools. I got caught back cutting sapele Georgian bar rebates a few years back and lost the side of two finger tips and count myself lucky. It was actually Christmas morning too and I had to send my missus home from the hospital to turn the turkey down :whistling:  Hope no permanent damage is done but let us know how you are getting on.

Sat here thinking of the pain when they start prodding and poking around flushing it out, that's usually when the pain kicks right in. Best of luck to you for a speedy recovery. You were lucky they numbed it for you.

The law changed back about 15-20 years ago which meant spindle molder blades needed a blanking set which helps stop your hand being dragged in if you catch your fingers, id guess your lucky you didn't catch your hand back then or you could've been looking at no fingers rather than just damage to them. Really hope you heal up soon and fully

Right about the old blocks, they used to be great for grinding a blade to copy a moulding but we'e lethal, I've seen it go wrong first hand, I used to be a machinest and joiner but got out of it years ago, tough job and lots of dust and noise, so hats off to you, really hope you recover okay, you only get one set of hands and you need them in your line of work.

And I thought it was painful spending all that money on new tooling and blocks for the spindle and tennoner. Money well spent by the looks of things. But it looks as tho your injury could have been so much worse. All the best and a speedy recovery.

£80k last year but having staff I have to stay modern . It’s saved my fingers

I'm just on my todd and didn' spend anyway near that but it is progress. My mate often said that sweeping up doest earn any money. It doesnt loose you money tho when I could trip into any one of the machines. He kept quite after that.

I wish I could say the bank doesn’t own the kit currently lol
