About 200 swallow with a few martins mixed went past my place today,,, bit strange as they seemd to be in groups and flying south ????? Usually see the first one around this time but not a group until later in the month........ West coast Cumbria

Maybe located a reservoir for a food source?

Flipping heck, Poor thing!

I saw a flock of Penguins yesterday, still no Swallows.

Speaking to a top bird watcher yesterday he had seen his first Swallows in the Yarmouth area, but I don't see any until we get a decent warm day which this year they are in very short supply.

Its a bit late , but I have not been able to log on for several months. 3 swallows hawking over Stiffkey Fen pools, N Norfolk Coast on the 6th in heavy mist. No martins for me yet though a friend saw some sand martins 2 days ago on the coast at Holkham.
