If you didn't want to hear him, why did you invite him?

Then why start the interview?

You’ve got to start it somewhere. He was possibly contacted prior to the interview and told what he would be asked, but when asked the question, instead of answering decided to ask one of his own. Perhaps the interviewer had another question lined up as a follow on, based on her initial question, but his reply rendered it irrelevant as his wasn’t the answer she expected? Who knows?

Perhaps the floor manager was hanging his head in frustration because he/she had an allotted time for a reply which never came, so finished the interview? Who knows?

Could it simply be that they ran out of time? Does everything have to be a conspiracy?

No, but it also doesn't always have to be coincidence.

Murdoch is a strategic advisor for Genie oil, whose major asset is a oil / gas field in the Golan  heights (which  the UN recognises as Syrian territory). There are huge reserves here, which Genie is keen to get hold of by (illegal) drilling.

A guest on Murdoch's Sky news raises valid concerns / questions about the justification given to bomb Syria, and he is swiftly rushed off air.

Surely you can concede that it looks a little suspect.

I'm not really sure it 'always' is coincidence either.

I doubt he is the first to have questioned the justification in bombing Syria on Sky news, unless you know different of course.

I could agree it would look a bit suspect if every person who has questioned the justification to bomb Syria on Sky news over the past few years has been 'rushed off air'. Have they?

They certainly have had others questioning the bombing in Syria, but this guest was one with a huge level of knowledge, experience and expertise in  the matter being discussed. Please check his Wikipedia entry, (Jonathan Shaw) to see why the public should have had the opportunity to hear him out.

I don’t think it’s a question of ‘the public should have had the opportunity to hear him out’, they heard him say his piece, it just wasnt in reply to the question asked.

Ive been interviewed on the radio; you can be cut off mid stream no matter what the topic.
