old man
Trying to defeat the will of the people by parliamentary system abuse? Methinks they really do need ousting?

Pigeon Shredder.
On £300 per day each + travel expenses, bet you they can debate it for some time, certainly not out of touch with how to make a few bob.
Westward
We dumped the EU because no one (apart from the LibDems and Tony Blair) wants to be ordered around by overpaid, unelected mandarins with no interest in democracy. The overpaid, unelected Peers who populate the House of Lords also have no interest in democracy and don't want to go the same way. How about a referendum on keeping the Lords or switching to an elected Upper House?

TriBsa
Hopefully the antics of these unelected few will push the so called negotiated deal over the edge and we will get full severance from the EU with no strings or ties, as we voted for. old man
Quite interesting really, how unelected politicos here and Europe have the power to overcome democracy?

Only because that democracy was exceptional, a once in a lifetime blip that they thought couldn't fail but did. The rest of our so called democracy is a sham anyway. The will of the people has very rarely reached parliament. We vote in the main for what we consider the least ugly of two ugly sisters, who then proceed to implement policies that we didn't vote for and do not want. Did we arrive at political correctness or mass imigration as a result of democracy for instance?
Newbie to this
Just in case anyone is interested in signing, here's a link to a petition for a referendum on the house of lords. https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/209433
