getthegat
My sister had it around 7.00 in Somerset, went very dark, sheet and fork lightening, poured for half hour then was gone leaving a weird pink sky.

figgy
Walked home last night across the Thames and the sky was crackling every couple of minutes, there must be some fantastic photos around as it was some of the best lightning i have seen. Scully
Watched it from the front door. Standing on the top of the stairs we could see sheet and forked lighting strikes over Keswick, Celeron and Lowther as it grew closer. Once it was overhead we had to go indoors as the hail and rain was terrific. Lightning lit up the entire village like day and set off a few car alarms. It returned for another show in the early hours when OH got up to watch it but I slept through it! Edited April 22, 2018 by Scully
