Ladies and Gentelmen

Following quite a few comments in other threads I have made tentative arrangements for a gathering of like minded people at Oakedge Shooting Ground in Staffordshire. It is central, close to the M6 and the West Coast Mainline. It is also, for anyone who has not been there a stunning ground.

Date Friday 20 July 2018

There will be a simulated game shoot consisting of

Meet and greet at 9.30

Bacon sandwich

2 simulated drives

Buffet shoot lunch

2 further simulated drives

Shooting in teams of 4, 100 birds per drive

Hopeully a barrage to finish

Cost for the above £80.00

Maximum people 16 on a first come basis with a deposit of £10.00

For those not in the simulated shoot There is a full layout of English Sporting stands so you can scare a few clays or if there is enough interest maybe a 50 or100 clay contest.

Lots of time to talk side by side and play I'll show you mine if you show me yours

Tea and coffee on all day

We have a few other ideas but it will depend on the interest shown.

Please let me know if you would be interested in the simulated shoot or just in attending for a few sporting shots or indead a small compertition and i can take it further.

I would be interested in the full package but my wife thinks all day would fry her brain, so a smaller competition would suit nicely.

Never been to this ground, would it be suitable to bring my 2 spaniels, To save leaving them all day. (not to retrieve clays !)

They will help out with the bacon butties,

Keep me in the loop please.

Regards.

Steve.

Hi decoyman

Please bring your spaniel, well behaved dogs always welcome.

If you have never been to the ground before you are in for a treat. It may be the best kept secret in shooting however after they host the British open in August it may be better known.

As I have said before exactly what we can put on will depend on the uptake, but English sporting is always availale

I will keep you in the loop

Martin
