paul1966
i thought the uk entry coped very well with the stage invasion and made the right choice not to sing again, got to be worth a few points surely.
fatchap
Live boxing on the otherside.....apparently.......cant confirm this as the wife gained early control of the remote and I too have had to endure the gut wrenching sounds of europe. 12gauge82
Don't know whether this is worth another thread as I don't want to send this one off topic but, why does much of europe seem to dislike the UK so much? After what it did for them during WW2 you'd think they'd appreciate it a bit more, before anyone says brexit, the UK seemed to be disliked by our European friends long before that was on the horizon? fatchap
I think its got something to do with the fact that the UK used to own most of the planet, now we dont and as they are governed by certain rules, what better way to get back at us than through eurovision. Even Ireland didnt vote for us and we gave them 10 points.
ditchman
in this day and age of terrorism....guns ...knives ....explosive's............it was a very very bad lack of security........ it could have been a very different outcome...had it been an ISIS person with a razor in front of 200million odd people..............Portugal dropped the ball on this one...........i think Suri is a very strong girl...but i bet she is very shook up about this..thinking about a "what if senario"......... this is indeed a very strange contest now...and i think it has run its coarse...it is no longer about singing and music but a political platform........... panoma1
Eurovision Song Contest? What a joke! I watched the live boxing on channel 5, Sam Sexton (British Heavyweight Champion) v Hughie Fury (challenger) Fury won by knockout, after outclassing the champion, faster, more mobile, good jab, accurate puncher........he is certainly not the bum some critics have labelled him! Howling Hound
I must admit my Eurovision experience this year was greatly enhanced by adapting an old drinking game. 1, stand up 2, turn telly off 3, go down the pub
getthegat
Mine was to move one arm slightly, change to another channel, slide hand to wine glass, then fall asleep ?
Scully
I didn’t have the tv on at all; not a lot worth watching nowadays to be honest. But we went to the pub anyhow. ?

So when the counties involved where European dress (all the time) are they accused of 'cultural appropriation' ? - the silence is deafening is it not (***** snowflakes)
