No Fuss, No Bother

Recommended Posts

Informed S.Y Firearms Dept of my change of address at the end of February. Just emailed them, didn't send my certificate in or anything else. Had the FEO round today, a quick hello, "Can I see your cabinet?", a quick wiggle of said cabinet, new certificate presented and checked and then goodbye. Whole visit took less than 5 minutes.

Well done SY. :good:

I informed Kent FD of change off address and all he did was a phone call. He said we are too busy to come and look at cabinet and juts asked me where I put it haha. Well happy with that.

Yeah I believe that’s the Kent approach now. If you can be trusted with a shotgun or rifle, they should be able to trust people to put a couple of bolts in a wall!

Met told me if you’ve fitted cabinets before they are content that your capable and no need to recheck.

My region is the same, no checks on moving, just a new FAC and SGC.

I moved house recently and informed Norfolk fire arms licensing. They asked me if I was using the same cabinet, which I was . I told them it was bolted to the wall inside a cupboard  . My new shotgun licence arrived within a week . No visit needed they said . Mind you I have been dealing with them for many years .
