Going back to the clays.

I have looked at a couple of 682 E 's. Do they all have the light coloured woodwork.

I know it makes no difference other than perhaps between the ears but I have always thought darker woodwork looks better.

So any recommendations please for older Beretta's please.

Edit to add. Some say the older models were better quality ?

I have an S57 EL dating to about 1975.  Stock is mid to light in shade, though when I acquired in (circa 1985) it had the typical thick 'varnish' that was common at the time.  I had the varnish stripped and the ridiculously large palm swell removed, and an oil finish done, which remains good to this day.  It has been 100% reliable and has even been used on doves in hot tropical Central America with no problems.

I had a 682 Supersport with 28” ported barrels and very dark lovely wood.

It was a great little fast handling gun which I used to devastating effect as my bolting bunny gun for a while. It’s a shame Berettas don’t suit me otherwise I may still have it. Can recommend the model very much.

??

There all different. Have a look on guntrader at 682 E and compare for yourself

I have had light / dark you name it.

As for the old chestnut “ they don’t make em they used to “ rubbish they ALL made  a few poor examples back then just like they ALL make a few now

Buy what you like. As long as it fits and you can afford it.

 ??
