So almost 4 years ago my motorcycle was stolen. It was baught as a birthday present from my parents and i loved the little thing and now 4 years later i have receved a letter informing me that it has been recovered! What are the odds on that. Now im sat waiting for my old insurance company to call back and let me know if i can buy it back. Im absolutely gutted now about claiming for the sake of £100 payout. Its now sat in a compound just a coupple of miles away and theres nothing i can do but wait!

I rebuilt a 350lc many years ago, from the ground up, full nut and bolt jobby - it got stolen and I later found another bike parked up with a few bit's that I knew beyond all doubt came from the one I had worked on - Police were not interested as I could not prove they were my bits.

years ago a guy who loves Yamaha RD,s and restores them to a mega standard used to bring them into the mot station I worked at .... he brought a lc350 in that he had done but for what ever reason he had done a custom one off paint job on it  .

a few days after bringing it in he brought a different bike in for test and informed us that the lc had been stolen along with another 2 from his lock up

fast forward about 2/3 month and one of the local scroats brought an escort van in for test while testing it I opened the rear doors and was amazed to find all the side panels and tank from the custom painted 350lc in the back ....

got in touch with the original owner to inform him along with the reg number of the van and owners name .

next time we met I asked how things went .

he told the police gave details ect ................................ and believe it or not the police new the van owner ............. paid him a visit and recovered 9 stolen bikes in different states of stripping

so for once a half decent result
