Scotty1980
I have acquired a scope that looks a little tired and could do with a freshen up. Not sure about full cammo, but if you paint it one colour it may look amature and **** any suggestions? Any pics of one you have painted? Thanks. figgy
You could spray drab olive and it would look ok ,or have it dipped.

Walker570
Whatever way you paint it, then it will very quickly get marked and worn. Have painted a couple in the past, one an original Tasco 'stainless' finish which glowed in sunlight. The paint soon rubbed in places but in the main reduced the glare. The only scope I own which has a sensible finish is an old Weaver which has a matt finish, why they don't make them all like that instead of all shiny I don't know. I have one or two scopes which have 'character' through use and maybe abuse but they still put the bullet where I need it. I would leave it as is. PPP
Why not try to wrap them with the self catching (kind if like Velcro I guess) camo fabric tape? I have done thin on my air rifle to avoid glare when sneaking up on rabbits and it works well...
Dekers
As mentioned above, a quick paint job is likely to give problems, and FULL prep for painting a scope will be time consuming. A number of scopes these days are powder coated which can give a long durable life, but its also done whilst the scope is in pieces before assembly. Cheaper scopes, many of the Chinese ones, have pretty poor quality paint but the optics can be quite good. I think I'd be tempted to leave well alone, or consider some of the wraps, if I had a few bob to spare, or fancied something special, perhaps have it dipped. A lot of my scopes have the self cling camo tape.(available very cheap from Ali Express) It stops any glare and also protects the scope, to a degree, from scratches etc.
