CSB5 steel load with data sheet test

Hi Chaps, 

hope you are well, in the pursuit of more loads with the CSB5 on one of my loading groups some of the lads have had some steel shot loads tested as outlined below:

1: 

24 grams of steel shot

Wad: VP53 

powder: CSB5 21.5 grains 

primer: Maxam G1000

number 2:

24 grams of steel shot

cheddite case 

cx2000 primer 

csb5 powder at 22 grains 

vp53 wad

Hope these loads help someone out.

thats a cute load, 
i`ve always liked the gualandi tubo24 wad. but these are with a different wad. i ran vectan AS in a 3" load to HP pressures.

Not if your getting them in close enough. It will kill pigeons well to around 30 yards, if you want more range tighten up your choke or go to bigger shot. A size 6 steel will be a great size for decoying. All this go up at least two sizes isn't always right. I shoot ducks with size 4 steel and they take more to bring down than pigeons. 

Patterning with your carts and chokes is key, you know what it's capabilities are then.

Doing 425 meters per second at 2.5 meters from the muzzle they're fast enough.
