The first time I meet someone, I listen to what they say, and with no other information to sway me, believe them. Im quite cynical , but even so, dont automatically think someone is lying, unless experience, or the content of the information given, appears suspect. This is what always surprises me about politicians, and people who vote for them. The content, and honesty of politicians spiel, has been proven time and again to be unreliable. Yet we continue to vote for them, some of them, like Kenneth Clarke in my own Borough, have been in the job for years, despite various words and promises that never came to fruition. Are we stupid, forgetful, do we deserve it ? Or are our political beliefs so ingrained that an MP could be proven as an out and out charlatan and thief or liar, and still get elected ? The politicians realised this long ago and have been by and large sticking to their own agendas far divorced from the people they supposedly represent. Well if people keep returning her as their MP, then they get what they deserve. The UK establishment got what they deserved with the referendum result because of the total disregard to the voices of those whom they either ridiculed or simply dismissed. I just don't trust her, we should have had a Brexiteer leading the negotiation from the start, she doesn't believe in brexit and her mind is obviously set that we must get a deal whatever the cost, it would appear even at the cost of delivering a brexit in name only.
