The term "The People's" is clearly an attempt to make it appear its the people that want it

Some people do want it, just no where near enough :whistling:

The peoples vote petition https://www.peoples-vote.uk/petition

And like all good EU style democratic votes, if it doesnt work the first time, try again with a different question/name
https://www.change.org/p/theresa-may-mp-give-people-a-final-say-on-brexit-deal

And still fail to garner much interest 😋

When/If the petition for the "people's vote" reaches over 17 million plus!........the number that voted "out".........then it may have some legitamacy!....when it is decided what the "people" are supposed to be voting on! Lol!

Exactly !
The simple fact that less than a million people feel strongly enough about it to bother voting tells everything.

I heard Soubry saying because Brexit wouldn't get through the parliament the only way to resolve it was through a second vote. If the result were the same I don't see why parliament would be any more likely to vote the result through. I'd love to see this simple question put to any of the people backing it because it just falls apart. I can't believe this so called People's Vote is given any credence whatsoever.

I really don`t get all this tosh, the vote was to leave or stay and leave won. There was never anything said to the effect of we will see what deal we can get before leaving, and if there is no "deal" (which is what I would prefer) then we leave without one, only remoaners want a "deal".

Although I broadly agree with that sentiment, I wonder how many of the population are Tory or UKIP voters, AND are on those benefits that might get stopped ?
Make those people poorer, and the shadow of Corbyn (or someone of his ilk) promising 😉 to put them all back, if they vote in a socialist  labour government is virtually guaranteed.
Be careful what you wish for.

But it WAS the people who voted to leave. I'd hazard a guess that if a second vote is put forwards at least half the voters will never vote again in their lives.

Of course that could be the real plan in the belief that most oldies will give up voting while many younger trendies feel driven with attempts to change the result.

Any deal should be accepted if it benefits the U.K. and it's people.....if the EU don't offer/agree to one, fair enough the U.K. leaves without a deal!......And **** the EU.

The U.K. can and will look after itself. With a deal, we are tied into what best for us and the EU....without one we are obligated to look after the UK only!........So again, no deal ?..........**** the EU!

There is absolutely no possibility that any deal the EU would agree would be more beneficial to the UK than no deal. Without Britain's contribution the EU's sums don't add up, If they aren't worried they should be.

They're not worried because we will still be paying and giving them a lump sum to boot. May looks likely to really sail us down an excrement creek without a paddle.

I hope I'm wrong but I can't see our establishment (mostly remoaners) allowing a no deal, which in my opinion is best for the UK. I don't see why anyone thinks the EU is the be all and end all with regards to trade.

We should have stopped paying (the only way to leave) the day after the vote was in and reverted to WTO, then we should have started trade talks. We would be out and have a trade deal by now and most importantly we wouldn't be sending the EU £350,000,000 a week still or have agreed to £39,000,000,000 to leave.

The whole thing is a farce dreamed up by remainers to keep us shackled to the EU Dictatorship.

I said, right after the vote, the vote we won, that the establishment will never, ever let this happen. What we're seeing is an epic toe punt of the can until the next election. An election which will be based entirely around one idea, one vision; stopping brexit and overturning the vote.

Hardly cryptic, as the lyrics state, you can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave.

Or, as my old granddad used to say, it doesn't matter who you vote for, the government always wins.

Yes delaying tactics. We the majority of people voted to leave .... GET ON WITH IT ...This is definitely becoming... CON - servative.

IF the transition period is extended (and I don't believe it should be) we should not pay ANY money in the extension period.  That should clearly focus the EU 'negotiators' (or more correctly dictators) minds on getting it sorted quickly.

Yeah, that isn't going to happen. Capitulation all the way, she was **** as home sec. and proving to be equally gash as pm.
