This was Labours stated intention at the last election. Us lot can book the next flight out after handing over a few billion squids worth of sporting guns. The Fixed Term Parliament Act means the Commons would need a 2/3rds majority in a vote of no confidence. I'm not sure that over 100 Conservative MPs would vote against the party. May knows she has to go back to the EU leaders and give a proposal that will be accepted. Hence why Davis fooqed off, rather than open his gob and be sacked!.. Barnier reminds me of how i feel when i've eaten a huge meal, and it's verging on all coming back up. The snidey little basard! Most voted for different reasons, but all voted based on their own (or friends and families) personal experiences. I don't know of a single one who was swayed one way or another by the campaigns from either side. There really was no need to take any notice of any of that when the reality of the European project and its future direction could be seen all around them every day. I'd put up with a few years of real hardship if needs be! Just so 'we' could tell them were not paying them billions, were taking back our borders, and control of all our legal process, and many other things. But no-one has the balls to do that. Me too, and that would include a half hour break for a spot of lunch! The simple way to sort Brexit would of course be to get all the UK and EU industry and business chiefs together in a decent little pub. Have a beer and a few bar snacks and then ask them if they wish to continue with tariff free trade with the UK or whether they'd rather give up on their biggest European market and concentrate on bailing out the weaker economies of the EU instead. Of course the business leaders would go with the free trade option. The problem of course is the politicians would then stick their collective snouts in and balls the whole thing up. You would have to ask WHY any right minded politician would want to do such a thing to their own business communities and workforce, and the answer is quite simple, I've said it many times on here before.
