First served at Cabinet level for Churchill. Someone (not me) wrote; Particularly poignant that Peter Carrington died today. He resigned as Foreign Secretary in 1982 because he took responsibility for the failure to predict the Argentine invasion. A man of principle. butchdickason Posted July 10, 2018 Report Share Posted July 10, 2018 I knew him quite well, he was often shooting at Burrow Farm Hambleden where I worked, he gave up his gun when he was about 80, but was a regular lunch guest at Burrow as he was my Bosses best friend.
