dogs eating habits in summer

    my five year old lab  keeps missing meals in the summer even after a hard days retrieving   sometimes wont eat for a whole day  drinks plenty of water as normal 

    people say this is quite normal  any bodys dog do the same

    My Spaniels are eating as well as ever - no expert but if he's not feeling like eating after a days work I (and being a Lab!!) then I would be paying the vet a visit. Could he be drinking foul water from wherever you are working him?

    Doesn't sound right for a lab does it.

    As above, different foods if that doesn't work then a trip to the vets.

    Just got to accept there funny animals my two lurchers are sisters and have never been parted apart from a week mine spent in the vets  I give them a tin of sardines each Friday and if I split them up they won't eat it they have to be fed out the same bowl  and I can't cut down the food to one lol

    That post made me smile. A few family members have lurchers/greyhounds from our nearby rescue center. They have odd habits too.

    We've got a Beddy/Whippet. Shes totally mad, but in the same way our Lurcher/Beddy was years ago. Our lawn is now totally yellow, brittle and dead. She goes outside and roles around all over it then comes back in and spreads it all over the lounge. And what's left she enjoys having brushed out. She then runs straight back outside and roles all over the dead lawn again, then comes in. And the game starts again....
