steve_b_wales
We are looking at doing the above next year to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday.(November) We don't have to go in November though. We would like a cruise where you stop off at different islands each day etc. Has anyone done the above and if so, when did they go and who did they book with? Thanks. Dave at kelton
Done this four or five times. We went March or April and have been with both P&O and Princess. There is nothing to choose between them, both excellent. Princess used to sail out of SanJuan but not sure now. P&O sail out of Barbados. You generally island hop each day but check the itinerary. I can recommend booking with Angie Norton of Travel Counsellors. Book by phone and she will go through everything you need to know as she specialises in cruise holidays. We have done perhaps 15 cruises all around the world and always use her. Any more questions pm me. enjoy
Marccus
We went with P&O in February 2017 and it was fantastic. We flew out and boarded P&O Britannia ship in Barbados then went onto Aruba, Curacao, Grenada, St. Lucia, Dominica, Antigua, St Maarten and back to Barbados. Over 14 days . Enjoyed every minute of it. I was really looking forward to Barbados but as it turned out the other islands were far more picturesque and less commercialized. I still enjoyed Barbados but the others were better in my opinion. Britannia is huge and the food faultless. Entertainment wise there is something for everyone every night different. Do it you won't be disappointed. If you need any more info then let me know.

I have done this one Steve in the May with the American Royal carribean company. We flew to new york and sailed from there. Done lots of islands all the way down to haiti. Found the carribean lovely and i dont think you will be left wanting, wonderful vistas! Great snorkeling also. Quite a few companies cruise to many different routes around the carribean We have done several with royal carribean them and can say never had any concerns, have sailed with Costa and also p&o. Me wife can get a bit seasick so we choose to get a cabin midship which seems to give you the least feeling of any movement. Also we choose a room that is on a higher deck so as not to be near the noise from all the entertainment which can go on until late. Mid upper not right at the top and not at the bottom. Inside rooms are all well and good but when you wake you have no natural lighting so it can be middle of the day and feels like it is 2am in the morning. With a balcony portside room you get to watch the wildlife and the world go buy, well worth the extra cost in my opinion. If you find you have had enough of the sun on sea days you can always retire to your room and balcony. Some individuals like to be very sociable and dine with others at a shared table, i do not so when we book we reserve a table just for ourselves and do a late seating. With all three cruise companies they do two sittings for evening meal one early around 18.30-20.00 then the second sitting 20.30 til 22.00. We like the late one as it means you dont have to rush from your table for the next sitting, That said doing the early sitting gives you the evening to enjoy more of the entertaiment, each has its benefits. Cruising allows you to wake up somewhere different every day. Go onto any cruise forum you will get loads of info and tips. We like the idea of waking up to a different place every day. We would also go for a balcony room rather than having that cooped up feeling. And we would also book a table for ourselves. We are sociable people but while on holidays we like to have quality time together. Our jobs mean that we can spend many days apart through various shifts etc, so holiday time is our time. I'll certainly look into this more and check out the forums etc. Thanks Steve
Sussexboy
We did this in November 2017 for our 25th wedding anniversary. Went with P&O on Azura. Had a great time, submarine trip in Barbados, various catamaran trips in different islands, lots of beautiful beaches, sailing on a square rigger, and many other activities. Did I mention the rum? There was rum. Lots of rum.

Most lines also have anytime dining and of course the buffet but for us it is a proper restaurant dinner every time.
