Radiator has come out, been flushed and ive cleaned it up and put some engine lacquer over it, looks a bit smarter now.

Had a few more hours on the oldun today. Got the fan off the water pump and pipes off and the thermostat house off. 

Pump in great condition so will clean get a gasket and back on, thermo house is rusted and broken away inside so shiney new for that..

Unsure if its the engine it came with so could be ex military engine only.. But who knows, looking at how solid it still is would suggest its been looked after.

ex military spray their engines that colour after rebuilding.....................

From looking at it and the possible extras it had, im thinking ex army fire dept. 

 

Today I finished off the electrolysis, dropped the radiator back in just to see how it looked, tested the thermostat and found all the hoses I had delivered where the wrong sizes.

Thermostat back in and new gasket fitted with wellseal. 

But the new hose is definitely not the right one

Another Saturday another day on the truck. 

The thermo top housing all back in, got the water pump fitted, all with new hoses, and have filled water up inc anti freeze..
