couple of weeks ago I posted that I had ordered  a new SAKO black wolf in .243 . well the rifle turned up last week , along with the sound mod , however I had to wait for a new scope to come direct from the factory in Austria , which as It turned was sat but because of the weekend I had to wait till today , well I finally got all me kit together and managed to get out for a couple of hours and get it bedded in and scope sorted , and just a bit of a well earned play .

Overall I have to say im over the moon with it , even with factory ammo it was still shooting one hole groups at 100 yards  (1/4moa ) ??

so enough of the boring stuff , some pics of the kit now its finally put together

As for accuracy , I have had it out too 550 yards ( so far ?) with factory ammo and got  75 mm group with 4 shots

Interested to hear how the DTACS go in it. The one I had was a 270 and if it shoots well in that (it certainly did), it's got to be a fundamentally good rifle in my opinion as the 270 is a nasty ****** in most rifles ?

That will have to wait until rebarelling , the 1:10 I have at the min I doubt will cut the mustard with the Amax let alone the DTAC So its may have to be a 1:8 twist , will deffo be going back down the Ackley Improved route though, if only for the improved case life .  Looking forward to getting some  reloads worked up for it , only had a couple of weeks and not really had chance to use it yet as I have been away since sat morning . Not back home till Friday

.and yes my .270 sako 85 Hunter is a total knob to shoot without a mod
